If you need swimming lessons they will tell you what courses they run. Many people enjoy freestyle swimming where you can use any stroke you like and the strokes you feel most comfortable with. Most people who swim for pleasure or for exercise use freestyle swimming techniques as this is a relaxed way to swim. Swimming strokes include breaststroke, front crawl, backstroke, butterfly or doggy paddle whatever you enjoy best. Many people have a preferred stroke where as others like to use a combination of techniques to use different muscle groups. Not all strokes can be used in professional freestyle swimming competitions.
